Funding and Support for International Nanotechnology Collaborations
Type of publication: Report, Nanoforum publication
Abstract: Global nanotechnology collaborations have received a lot of attention lately. Although Europe’s research community is in a good position to play a leading role in international nanotechnology networking and research, this cannot be done without funding. Nanoforum has investigated multilateral and bilateral funding opportunities for nanotechnology open to European researchers with partners in other parts of the world. We have also identified web portals and organisations which can help EU researchers find partners in North and South America, Eastern Europe, Russia and Newly Independent States, Asia-Pacific and Africa. The present report summarises the results of our survey. The Update of July 2006 includes more information on North America.
Summary: Nanoforum lists organisations funding international research collaborations including with European partners on a global level and in individual countries. Countries for which funding opportunities have been identified are: USA, Canada, Latin America in general, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Taiwan, Thailand, South Africa, Russia, Eastrn Europe and Newly Independent States. Webportals to assist in finding partners have been identified on a global level and in North and South America, Asia Pacific, Africa and Middle East and Russia, NIS and Eastern Europe. Two separate annexes to the report contain additional information on relevant organisations in Asia, Pacific and Africa.

Dear ihab,
Thanks for your comment, and apologies for our mistake. These reports are no longer being updated, however it is useful to pass on this info to the community. You might like to visit www.icpc-nanonet.org, where you can download reports on different global regions (Iran is included in the report titled Asia (West)).
