Dutch nanodebate boosted in 21 projects

The Committee for the Societal Dialogue on Nanotechnology in the Netherlands announced the selection of 21 projects which will be carried out in national nanodialogue in the next half year, with a funding budget of 2.5 million euro.

The projects are divided in five groups: television programmes, publications for a general audience, activities for secondary school children, science cafes/debates, and other.
The committee has received 80 proposals, of which they took 73 into consideration in a first round. 44 projects were asked to submit a full proposal, out if which the 21 projects were selected. The committee will open a second call for proposals on 23 January, with deadline on 8 February 2010.
