Point One

The ministry of Economic Affairs funds collaborative R&D projects in nanoelectronics under the Point One programme. SMEs are especially targeted.

 

Casimir

The Casimir programme of the research council NWO stimulates public-private R&D partnerships by funding projects where staff from a company can carry out a project at a public research organisation or vice versa.

Innovation vouchers

Senter/Novem hands out innovation vouchers worth 7500 euro to SMEs. They can buy innovation support from public R&D centres in the Netherlands, Flanders or North Rhine Westphalia.

 

WBSO

The Law on Stimulating R&D is a tax deduction scheme for the salary costs of extra R&D staff for companies.

 

STW valorisation grants

This is a support scheme for spin-off SMEs from research funded through the applied research council STW.

 

TechnoPartner

This is a support programme for young high tech entrepreneurs.

 

NanoNed Valorisation

The National Nanotechnology R&D programme NanoNed includes a valorisation platform for SMEs.

 

Syntens

The national innovation support organisation for SMEs is participating in the EU funded NanoroadSME roadmap project on nanomaterials for SMEs.

 

Polytechnics - Knowledge circles

Polytechnics have appointed Lectors who must form knowledge circles of teachers who can assist local companies with innovation projects.

Hogeschool Zuyd

Hogeschool Zuyd includes the Knowledge circle on nanotechnology and life sciences (CEL) led by prof Paul Borm.

Hogeschool Utrecht

At the Hogeschool Utrecht Dr J-E Bullema specialises in microsystems technology.

The technostarters fund South East Netherlands invests in high tech start ups.

 

LIOF

The regional development society in Limburg invest in start ups.

 

Province of South Holland

South Holland stimulates regional development in sensor and nanotechnology.

 

Public-private centres offering wide support

 

High Tech Campus

The High Tech Campus Eindhoven hosts 35 high tech companies and research centres including 4000 Philips researchers. They have extensive facilities for SME support.

 

Holst Centre for Micro and Nanoelectronics

The Holst Centre for Micro and Nanoelectronics is located on High Tech Campus since 2005 and intends to cluster companies active in the complete innovation chain.

 

DSM Research Campus Geleen

The R&D facility for external users of DSM Research facilities in Geleen including in nanomaterials.
