New Economy Development Fund S.A. (TANEO S.A.) (2001- )
TANEO is a Greek government backed fund of funds.
Employment of New Researchers in Enterprises (HERON) (2002-2006)
Programmes HERON and HERON-p aim at increasing the employment of research personnel in the business sector. The Programme supports up to 50% of the salary cost (including insurance) due to the employment of new researchers and technical personnel (up to 5 people) in firms for 18 to 36 months, and the operational cost for the implementation of an R&D project in the same period.
Programme for the exploitation of research results through the establishment of academic spin offs (PRAXE) (2001-2006)
PRAXE aims at encouraging the exploitation of available research results, from implemented projects, the intensification of R&D and related activities inside business firms or on the interface between firms and public research institutions.
Support of Incubators and S&T Parks in Greece - ELEFTHO Programme. (2001-2006)
This measure facilitates the creation and development of new technology based firms and the transfer of technology to the production sector. The government offers support to the establishment and development of S&T parks and incubators.
Reinforcement of Youth Entrepreneurship (2001-2006)
The programme provides financial support from 30 000 euro to 150 000 euro to young people to start a new venture their knowledge, training and skill for the creation of new enterprises.

ZAITECH FUND A.K.E.S is a €30M fund, and is the second investment to be made by TANEO (€14,999,900) in partnership with the Bank of Attica (€15,000,000). The fund will invest in SMEs, preferably in the seed, start up and expansion stage, which are active in the following sectors: telecommunications, energy, information technology, biotechnology, new materials, etc.
