Czechinvest is an agency of the ministry of Industry and Trade which stimulates foreign investment in the Czech Republic including by offering innovation and technology support.

Prague

The city of Prague has developed a regional innovation strategy including measures to stimulate high tech SME development.

Several CAS institutes are involved in R&D on nanotechnology. The Technology Transfer office of CAS assists SMEs with uptake of technologies developed by CAS researchers.

Scientific Incubator

In 2006, the Czech Technical University in Prague opened a scientific incubator for up to 20 high tech start up companies spinning off from the University. The incubator is enabled by an investment of 500,000 euro by the Swedish investment company IKANO.
